Taylor Borden

Taylor Borden is a Licensed Master Social Worker who earned his Bachelor of Social Work in 2022 from Eastern New Mexico University and his Master of Social Work in 2024 from Western New Mexico University. He is certified as a Level 1 practitioner in the Flash Technique and is currently under clinical supervision with Carol Humbert, LCSW-S, at Aspen House Counseling.

Taylor’s path to counseling began through a period of deep reflection and self-discovery, leading him to a fundamental belief that his purpose is to love people. This conviction guided him toward the helping professions and ultimately into the field of counseling, where he strives to provide empathetic, strengths-based support for individuals and families.

During his internships, Taylor primarily worked with adolescents within the school system, offering counseling services that fostered emotional growth and resilience. He also provided support to teaching professionals to help them navigate the complex emotional demands of their roles. Since graduation, he has expanded his practice to serve individuals ages 12 and older as well as couples and marriages.

Taylor has experience supporting clients dealing with depression, anxiety, compulsive behaviors, relational distress, and communication breakdowns. He is committed to integrating evidence-informed approaches with a compassionate, client-centered style that emphasizes connection, understanding, and meaningful progress.

Outside of the office, Taylor enjoys furniture restoration, weightlifting, music writing and production, spending time with family, and cooking. These pursuits allow Taylor to utilize a creative spirit and his belief in nurturing well-rounded and balanced living.
