Child Therapy (Play Therapy)
At LiveWell, we love to help kids!
Children often experience big emotions long before they have the words to explain them. When a child is struggling, it may show up through behavior rather than conversation. Maybe your child’s behavior is frequent tantrums, difficulty with transitions, anxiety, withdrawal, eating or sleep challenges, or changes at school or home.
LiveWell is a place where children can express themselves in the way that comes most naturally to them: through play.

Children can ‘talk’ through play.
Play therapy is a developmentally appropriate approach allowing children to communicate thoughts, feelings, and experiences using toys, creative interaction, and imagination. Because play is a child’s natural language, it can help them process emotions and experiences that may feel too complex or overwhelming to put into words. Through this process, children can make sense of their world in a safe and supported environment.
In sessions, our therapists use play-based techniques to help children build emotional awareness, improve self-regulation, and strengthen coping skills. Over time, children may become better able to express their needs, manage frustration, navigate anxiety, and develop healthier ways of interacting with others. While sessions are child-centered, the therapeutic work often leads to meaningful improvements at home, school, and in relationships.

Now is the best time to give your child the opportunity to express themselves.
We also recognize that caregivers are an essential part of the healing process. Parents and guardians are included through updates, guidance, and collaboration when appropriate. This partnership helps extend progress beyond the therapy room and into everyday routines and challenges.
Childhood can be a time of growth, curiosity, and resilience even when challenges arise. With the support of play therapy, children can build emotional skills that help them feel more confident, connected, and secure as they grow.
